Job Title: Microbiology Technician 1
Requirements:
BS or MS in Biology, Microbiology (preferred), or Food Science REQUIRED. Must posses general microbiological laboratory techniques and procedures, including aseptic techniques, preparation of sterile culture media and related materials, gram staining. Knowledge of general food testing methods and an understanding of ISO accreditation is a plus. Great communication skills are a must.
Job Description:
Performance of all laboratory testing activities. Responsible for timely and accurate processing of test samples. Responsible for the accurate and efficient performance of work assignments in the microbiology Laboratory, including performing quality control testing, proficiency testing, sample testing and instrument verification. Performs all quality procedures as required by Analytical Food Laboratories and their accrediting agencies. Performs other related duties as assigned in order to meet the goals and objectives of the department and the company. Will require ongoing communication with Lead Microbiology Technician. This position reports directly to the Lead Microbiology Laboratory Technician.
Ann. Salary Range:
$10.00 to $15.00
